In an interview with Blastr on the weekend of October 8th, 2016 Evangeline Lilly had some pretty honest and interesting things to say about the upcoming Ant-Man and The Wasp as well as her planned appearance in Avengers 4. We all knew that Avengers 3 & 4 would somehow be showcasing all the regular and new heroes being introduced up to these movies but Evangeline Lilly makes a few things about her appearance just a little more clear. She told Blastr:
“Right now an initial script has been created but it has not been approved by the higher powers that be, by the Feiges,” Lilly said of the Ant-Man sequel. “So I haven’t seen it yet but I have talked to Peyton about where they’re headed and what they want to focus on. I’m excited because it’s essentially going to be the origin of the Wasp. We’re going to see the Wasp for the first time take on the mantle, and put on the suit, and fly about, and do her thing. Following that one, there’s an Avengers series coming out that’s a two-parter and the Wasp won’t be in the first part, she’ll be in the second part because they really want to preserve that reveal for Ant-Man and the Wasp so that they can give it its due time.”
As of this writing Avengers: Infinite War (Avengers 3) is in post production at Pinewood Atlanta and while 3 & 4 will have different titles both are being shot simultaneously. Ant-Man and the Wasp is set to begin shooting in Atlanta in 2017 and the script will be handles by Andrew Barrer, Gabriel Ferrari, Adam McKay and Payton Reed. Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Michael Peña will be returning along with Evengiline Lilly. No plot details have been released yet. Ant-Man and The Wasp is set to be released on July 6, 2018 and Avengers 4 is scheduled for May 3, 2019.
