You read that headline right, 20th Century Fox, who owns the rights to the Stan Lee biography, has announced a planed movie about the life of co-creator of every popular classic Marvel character but it’s not going to be a typical bio flick. Instead his story is going to be told in the frame work of an action movie comparable to James Bond or Kingsmen: The Secret Service. This has got to be only the best damn story, like, ever. Producers Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen, famous for Twilight and the soon to be release Power Rangers movie, is teaming with Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment whose main partner, Gil Champion, will executive produce. Talk about a “you can’t make this stuff up” story. Right now they don’t have a writer or director and they are in the stage of trying to hash out whose going to play the younger Stan Lee. They are looking a Bryan Cranstan to play the role but nothing is confirmed on that one yet. They’ve said that the movie will revolve around a period in the 1970’s instead of Stan Lee’s early life to where he is today. The idea sounds so awesome and refreshing you almost forget that the people who were behind Twilight and the Fantastic Four are doing this. We can only hope this turns out to be just as interesting as it sounds.
